Friends of Granny

I would guess this photo of Granny and her friends was taken about 1907 somewhere on Narragansett Bay. Granny stands third from the left and her sister on the right end.

Granny and her Aunt Molly (who was always knitting socks) were best of friends.

I wonder how these two manage to look so lovely and still sail the boat.

This group could clearly use some of Granny’s iced tea.

Evidently an osprey has landed on Granny’s cousin Millicent’s hat.

I like to think that someone took this photo of the boys from Granny’s boat as she flew past them. Granny was a fabulous sailor.
